This Mental Health Awareness Week, I will be hosting a small event in my area. It will feature a small art exhibition, where friends and sufferers have created artwork to depict mental illness how they understand it. There is poetry, creative writing, drawings, photography, collages and a short film.
I have contributed, too. My aim is to help at least one person understand the illness better. I want sufferers to know they’re not alone, or broken but instead there’s so much help out there. Together we are stronger.
